For each investor, the feasibility study, which outlines the pros and cons of investment, can include livability. ie
1. I want to make this investment my Primary Place of Residence now (PPOR)
2. I want to retire / move to this investment in the future, and obtain as many tax benefits prior to this
For example, if you can see yourself settling into a master community that centers around a golf course in 10 years, you are better to invest now, obtain all possible deductions and transition to PPOR in the future.
This hold equally true if you want to live on the beach in the future, in the mountains, or any other specific passion.
